Workshop 2:
Understanding and Practicing Imago Therapy
Presenter: Valerie Frankfeldt, LCSW, PhD, CIRT
October 30, 2009 8:00pm
This workshop will cover Imago Couples Therapy
techniques and their theoretical bases.
There will be discussion of the idea of the “Childhood Wound,” how this
wound is recapitulated in committed relationships and is enacted reciprocally
within the couple, and how it can be a vehicle for healing. The use of
dialogue technique will be demonstrated.
Participants are invited to bring in “stuck” cases with an eye on
evolving new interventions
Valerie Frankfeldt is a
Certified Imago Relationship Therapist, and a faculty member, supervisor and
training analyst at PPSC. She has
published, taught, and runs workshops on the topics of addiction treatment,
countertransference, parenting and psychoanalytic supervision.
